Magdalen Farm is a 132 acre farm and developing nature reserve.
it’s a pretty amazing place.
At the centre of the farm …
We keep chickens and pigs, and grow fruit and vegetables. All the meat in the 23,000 meals we serve each year comes from Magdalen Farm. The Organic soils are rich in sequestered carbon and subterranean life that is at the base of the food chain for everything else.

the fields, planted with occasional clumps of trees, are pulse-grazed with only a handful of hardy Devon Red cattle, to allow new habitats to form.
The hedgerows are allowed to grow large and bushy.
The River Axe is enhanced by a kilometre of innovatively restored habitat as it passes the bottom of the farm.
Wildlife is creeping back, including some of the country’s most endangered species.
And all this just gets better each year.
