We keep chickens and pigs, and grow fruit and vegetables. All the meat in the 23,000 meals we serve each year comes from Magdalen Farm. The Organic soils are rich in sequestered carbon and subterranean life that is at the base of the food chain for everything else.

the fields, planted with occasional clumps of trees, are pulse-grazed with only a handful of hardy Devon Red cattle, to allow new habitats to form.
