Orange tip butterfly eggs spotted

Back in April our education ranger Izzie found some Orange Tip Butterfly eggs laid upon a cuckoo flower. Fast forward a few months and the eggs have hatched!

Using a hand lens Izzie managed to capture some up close images of caterpillars at different stages of their life. Each time a caterpillar sheds it’s skin, it is known as an instar.
