Subsidised
Stays
Home » For Your School » Residentials » Subsidised Stays
we are able to offer subsidised residential stays to:
- Schools serving communities in the 10% most deprived areas of the country
- Schools with a high proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals
OWL is the flagship programme for this. It stands for Outdoor Weeks of Learning, and is a national partnership project led by the Ernest Cook Trust. Schools coming for an OWL may also benefit from support for staff training and coach travel costs.
Other funding is also available to subsidise shorter stays (2 nights).
In all cases, charitable funding covers 2/3 of our costs, so we only pass on 1/3 to you.
The nature of the activities has been really well suited to the children’s needs, and they’ve responded really well to it. If they’re nervous about things, they can just go into nature – it’s been a very wellbeing week!

Nature is the best thing in the world, and it is beautiful
